"Great opportunities to help others seldom come... but small ones surround us every day."

~ Sally Koch

Homeless people on the streets are in need of the same things as any one of us - food, heat, clothing, shelter. Homes for temporary accommodation of such people exist, but they have limited space and the number of poor people grows each year. At nights these people have provided shelter and hot meal but in the morning they found themselves on the street again and there happens something we all forget. Fighting the cold!

Having hats, scarves and gloves is essential in such times as this is part of the clothing that protects limbs and saves them from frost. The foundation “There is a way” organizes free knitting lessons where all participants learn a wonderful craft and also support initiative to reach more people. With two little hooks and yarn thousands of volunteers from across the country helping the homeless. They knit hats, scarves, gloves and socks, which the team of the “Knitting for Warmth” distributed to people in need.

How little it takes to warm somebody's heart and soul?!
